Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental treatment that places thin layers of tooth-coloured composite resin over the surface of the tooth to seamlessly improve the appearance of your teeth. It can be used to fill cracks and gaps, repair broken teeth and improve discoloured teeth to create a natural-looking smile. It usually requires no local anaesthetic and can be completed in just one appointment. Though it is technically a cosmetic treatment, repairing damage to your teeth can reduce the risk of dental infection.

The composite bonding treatment is simple, effective, and pain-free. We can treat a single tooth, several or all teeth. Before you go ahead with your treatment a trial smile will be given to ensure you are fully aware of what your new smile will look like.

Composite resin is made of a special plastic. The resin is BPA-free, safe, and hardwearing. While it is considered durable, it’s not as hardwearing as your natural tooth enamel.

Composite resin is a durable material that bonds nicely to the surface of your teeth. Typically, composite bonding lasts for around five to seven years but the lifespan of your new smile will depend on how you maintain it. Full maintenance advice will be given after the procedure.
